Taormina
A legendary clifftop town with dramatic views of Mount Etna and the Ionian coast.
Taormina: The Eternal Balcony of Sicily
Perched on a rocky terrace 200 metres above the Ionian Sea, Taormina has captivated travellers for centuries. From Goethe to D.H. Lawrence, from Hollywood royalty to modern-day connoisseurs, this clifftop jewel has long been the most celebrated destination in Sicily - and one of the most iconic in all of Italy.
The ancient Greek Theatre, with its breathtaking backdrop of Mount Etna and the azure coast, sets the tone for an experience defined by drama and beauty. Below, the impossibly clear waters of Isola Bella beckon, while the elegant Corso Umberto offers refined shopping, aperitivo terraces, and some of the finest dining on the island.
